Westport Bars Donates $6K to Race Project KC

By June 17, 2020 No Comments

First and foremost, we would like to thank all those that helped make our first event back such a tremendous success. Many of our followers were anxious to get back on the scene and they showed up and showed out for a great cause. The staff at each of the venues were well equipped in handling the capacity limits as well as the health and safety concerns for patrons.

In total, we were able to raise $6,000 for Race Project KC. The education of our youth about the history of social injustices, structural racism, and the lasting impact of both is imperative in securing a more just and inclusive future. This event was about so much more than returning to the nightlife scene for us. It was about using our platform to collect donations and make a meaningful effort to support and strengthen the youth in our community.

We believe this will be the beginning of a beautiful partnership with Race Project KC and we hope to continue to work together to leave a lasting impression on students in the Kansas City area. Be on the lookout for more fundraising events in the near future. To make an individual donation or learn more about this outstanding organization, please visit raceprojectkc.com

We appreciate all the partners involved!
