Maxx Gruv Pushes Through COVID-19

By March 25, 2020 No Comments

Like many people in the nightlife industry, DJ Maxx Gruv has been directly impacted by the lockdown implemented to contain the spread of COVID – 19. But he isn’t letting that stop him from doing what he loves.

Maxx has been offering live streams of his sets to his followers in the hopes of bringing some positive light in a currently dark and uncertain world. As a longtime lover of music, this veteran DJ believes in the power of song and its ability to ease tensions, ward of fears and ultimately keep people sane for the duration of this lockdown while also giving him an outlet to work on his craft. And it seems that the results of this are overwhelmingly effective. Many people have reached out to him via messenger to thank him for taking the time to share his work.

For someone who is currently out of work, Maxx seems to have a very level head and practical attitude about the whole situation. He is using this extra time to work on projects around the house, educate his three small children and above all else, he is doing his best to avoid the news! He chooses not to live in fear and knows it is easy to fall into the hysteria. His hope is that other parents are also taking this moment to build stronger relationships with their kids as well because we have been given an opportunity to make family time a priority again.

Once this all blows over, Maxx will get back to DJing because he loves using music to bring people together. In fact, his favorite part of being behind the turntables is that he is able to witness strangers become friends in a matter of hours, singing along to the variety of music he plays. Hopefully we will all get a chance to visit him at O’Dowds or Sol sooner rather than later!
